Our hair bows
Whitney sewing away
Our burp rags
Our Mountain Dew cupcakes
How did we celebrate Whitney being done with finals well Thursday we shopped until we dropped and enjoyed dinner at Costco, I might add we shopped for craft supplies and groceries : ), probably not exactly how a college student wants to celebrate lol. Friday we jumped right in to our crafts, we decided to start off with our bows, they were way easier then we thought and we already know how we can make them way cuter next time, we decided we will just call this time practice. We stopped for a short lunch brake and then dove into our burp rags. Whitney wanted me to teach her how to sew and we figured they were a good place to start. Let's just say this sewing experience went a little better than the last teaching experience ; ), no fingers were sewed over in this one. So maybe I won't wait 3 years to teach another niece this time, but in Lib's defense she was only 10 at the time. Moving on to our busy day we then attempted Mountain Dew cupcakes. Ok, our whole family except for my parents LOVE Mountain Dew so I decided we should double it. Whitney and I should not bake together lol. Well we baked our cupcakes and tasted them, both thinking they were pretty good but maybe a little more lemon and lime zest would make them taste more like Mountain Dew, by the way yes we were taking sips of Mountain Dew while taking bites of the cupcakes to compare. So on to the frosting we are figuring out our doubling measurements when at the same exact moment we both gasped and looked at each other realizing we forgot to double our lemon and lime juice for the cupcake batter and that is why they weren't just right. After we laughed our butts off we frosted them and despite our mishaps they tasted pretty good but I'm pretty sure they would taste even better if we had made them right lol. It was a great way to end a fun year of having Whitney live with us. We have the exact same personality which everyone thought would make us kill each other and only last a month, but we made it the whole 9 months and didn't even yell at each other... too bad : ). We are sad she is going home for the summer, Kabree is going to miss her like crazy but we know her parents are super excited so we will just have to visit her there.
