Preschool Here We Come!

Keagan has been anxiously awaiting her first day of Preschool!  We went in last week to meet her teacher and see her class room and ever since she has cried every morning that she wants to go to school!  She was so excited this morning she woke up at 6:30 ready for the day!!!

Her backpack might have been bigger than her.
These two sure love each other!!!
This is her "I'm a tiger" picture!
Cleo and Kiki were sad they weren't going to be together all day

Keagan was so excited she jumped out of the car, but then quickly said "Mommy hold you."   Once we got inside the school gates and she saw Ms. Brenda who greeted Keagan "There's my Keagan, I'm so excited to see you Keagan!" she was great!  She jumped down and started talking all excited to Ms. Brenda.
It was a bit of a bitter sweet day for this Mommy having her baby be old enough for preschool and the realization that for 2 hours a day it's just me!

1st Grade Here We Come!

Kabree started 1st grade this year.  She was pretty excited about her teacher Mrs. Cranor and thought she was great when we met her at back to school night.  However, the waking up at 7:15 and the discovering all of her little girl friends from last year are in a different class......

showing off her nails

Kabree picked out her outfit, knew how she wanted her nails painted and how she wanted her hair done for the first day of school.  Mommy and Keagan are sad to have Kabree back in school but excited for her to learn more and to make new friends this year.  Luckily she has some of her friends that are boys in her class so she has someone to talk to ; ).

Summer Crafts

This summer has been so jammed packed with family and fun it hasn't left us much time to do our usual summer crafts and activities.  We have managed to squeeze a couple crafts in the last couple weeks as per the girls request.

First up bead making:
This craft was way more involved then I had anticipated but the kids loved every minute of it so it was worth it in the end.  First off was the actual bead making, then the loooong wait for them to dry (3 days), then we painted them with glitter and once again had to wait for them to dry.  Then we finally got to make our bracelets and necklaces.

Next up on was rock crystals:
This activity turned into a disaster.  First off we got it at the dollar store soooooo lets keep that in mind.  Anyways, the mixture didn't dissolve like it was supposed to and then after 3 days nothing had changed so Heathers kids took theirs home to watch and wouldn't you know it that night I dropped a container on Kabree and Keagans making an insane mess so we tossed ours : (.  The girls were pretty  bummed but understood but then were even more bummed when a week later we saw Hanna and Justices had actually formed crystals.  So we might (very slight might) have to try this one again.

Barbie House

So I had a friend at church ask me if we wanted her girls Barbie house.  She sent me picture on my phone and I thought sure, the girls will love it.  Little did I realize from the picture it was HUGE!!!  We got her girls bags of their favorite candy bars and they thought that was the best thing ever.  Our girls were over the moon excited about the doll house and decided who needs the fire place!?!

No More Accidents

It's been a long, long, loooooong road of potty training.  Keagan was potty trained back in December but when our house flooded it stressed our timid little Keke and she reverted back to pull ups.  We have been trying oh so hard since but have struggled with no accidents, we tried bribing with pennies, with stickers and Dum Dums, but no luck.  Finally in July we found the perfect bribe; Barbie panties and riding the animals at the mall!  We've been accident free since the day she put on her first pair of Barbie panties!!!

Riding The Animals At The Mall
The girls have been wanting to ride the animals at the mall for months and so we thought that was the perfect reward for no accidents.  It was a blast!!!  The kids loved it and us adults thought it was pretty fun too!
No surprise here which animals these two picked!

Surprise, surprise Keke picked the giraffe : )

Justice took Heather for a wild ride!

The kids did a quick change of animals to see if they could find a faster one : )

We are so proud of our "Big" girl Keke and she is so excited that she is now 100% ready for Preschool!
