What's Up With Us

Libby as Jackie Kennedy

Libby's class did a play on the American Presidents and their wives, Libby got to be Jackie Kennedy. She was so nervous but she did a great job. My pictures didn't turn out that great so your stuck with these.

When Hanna first saw her tutu

Heather has been saying she wants a tutu for Hanna so I told her if she bought the supplies I would make one for her. It was so worth the time just to see her little face when Heather handed it to her, she got all excited and hurried to have Heather help her put it on. Then she twirled around, spun and kept putting her one leg back like a dancer.

ADOPTION UPDATES
We have still not been chosen by anyone yet but we are still on the list and waiting and hoping that something will come up soon. So I know I've said it before but again, spread the word for us!!!

Finally Done

We got the rest of our carpet Friday and we officially have our house back. I cannot express how relieved I am to have it all done. We have about 3 more projects (the kitchen floor and counters and the closet doors in the bedrooms) and we will have redone the whole upstairs. But we have agreed we need a couple months break before we dig in to the next project. This one about did me in. I love having new carpet and new paint but I have a very hard time not having my house in order. Now keep in mind the extra bedroom will hopefully soon be the baby's room and we will decorate with blue or pink depending on what our baby is.

Morgan aka The Cookie Monster

Larin and Jessica left the kids with us Wednesday night so they could go out for dinner. I made sugar cookies so they could decorate them. I didn't get many pictures but holly cow, Morgan turned into a cookie monster and would pile the sprinkles on, then snarf down the cookie as fast as he could. Dad and I couldn't stop laughing, I honestly think he ate 4 cookies before I cut him off.

This is what my sweet hubby came home from playing basketball with this morning. We had said we weren't going to do anything this year and then he surprised me with these. Zach always seems to know when I need flowers; they are the one thing that always makes me smile.

Home Improvements

During The Process

I decided to post some of the pictures or our home improvements. We are finishing up the bedrooms this week and will have the carpet in Friday. We got new carpet in the living room, painted the bathroom and redid the floors in the bathroom and entryway. Zach, his Dad and our friend Kade helped with the floors. The guys did a great job with the floor and I love it. I wish I would have taken before pictures but I didn't think about it until it was too late. But thanks to all our friends with the moving of furniture, putting in of floor and opinions on paint colors!

Catch Up Time!

FYI we decided to save money and go back to dial up, which is so slow at our house that our blog doesn't even load after an hour of waiting. Anyways, that is why I've been absent from the blogging world. Lots has been going on so I will use this post to catch up on all the fun stuff we did in January.

We did get to go sledding with friends the first weekend of January and good thing we did it then because after that the snow all melted. We started some home improvement projects. Which I will have to post pictures of all the finished work later this week because it's not all done yet. It has been a very long couple weeks but I am so excited to have it all done. We have been painting, putting up new doors and getting new flooring upstairs. We kind of lucked out in the flooring area because Zach's friend Kade knew how to put it in the stuff we wanted in the bathroom and enteryway.

For all of those who have called or e-mailed me about adoption Thank You very much! It sounds very selfish but with adoption you rely so much on other people to get your word out there for someone else to pick you, so when people ask about it, it let's me know that people care and do remember we are adopting. I know I've said it before but tell everyone you know we are still adopting, we are just waiting for someone to pick us so please spread the word for us and for all those who already have Thank You!

Tiffany's Bridal Shower

Tiffany was shocked by some of the answers

Tiffany blowing a bubble after the game!

Tiffany opening all the fun gifts!

We threw Tiffany's bridal shower in January. We had a great turn out and I think Tiff enjoyed it. She got lots of good stuff!! We kept it simple and only did one game, the game where you ask the bride questions about the groom and if she gets it wrong she has to take a piece of gum. Well we decided it would be funner if we videoed Albert answering the questions. (I did it for Holli's and it was really cute) So Laurie and Darrel videoed and asked Albert all the questions for me and everything and then we couldn't get the TV at the church to work : (. We still did the game but I was disappointed.
I have to just say that I put together the little bags and was looking at them and felt like they looked so blah and then my smart thinking sister realized, lets put the napkins in the bags. Look at how much cutier they looked.
