Apples, Apples Everywhere

We LOVE the fall!!!  The weather, the canning, the baking and the hunting for Zach.  Matt and Heather have the most beautiful house but come fall they have a lot of work!!!  Our girls were so excited to come help with apples!  The kiddos picked the apples off the ground and sorted them into rotten and ones that could be fed to the cows.  Us adults picked the apples we could reach off the tree to make some yummy apple sauce, fruit leather and dried apples.

Fundraisers

We have been trying to explain money to the girls this year and how you have to work to earn money.  Also, how vacations and activities cost money.  To earn money for our Mount Rushmore trip they did a garage sale and bake sale.  Well both girls want to do dance this year so we asked them if they had any ideas of how to help earn money for it. Both girls thought about this for a day or two and then between the two of them they came up with selling treats and washing windows.  Kabree took on the brave task of asking people if they would like to buy some cookies or have their windows washed.  She said it made her super uncomfortable and was super embarrassing :) she did manage to call Grandpa Vance and Aunt Heather before she wanted to crawl out of her skin.  Uncle Shawn caught wind and asked the girls if they would wash his windows too!!!

Making cookies

 Washing Windows
Kabree was a great, hard little worker!!!  She stuck it out through the bitter in on the windows, even the boring parts she had to watch because she couldn't reach!!!

 Vacumming
So Kiki helping with the windows lasted about 5 minutes before she said it was too cold and asked to go inside.  I told her to please help Grandpa while she was inside.  So Grandpa put Kiki to work vacuuming and Keagan LOVED it!!!

We are pretty proud of these girls and their coming up with a plan to help with their dance!  Not only did they plan it, but they worked hard too!!!  So needless to say these parents are very proud and happy to have these two girls do dance this year!!!

All About Keagan!!!

Keagan has LOVED her first week of preschool!!!!  She talks non stop about Ms. Brenda and is loving having homework!!!  One of her homework assignments this week was to make a poster all about Keagan.  Then they would have it displayed on their classroom wall so everyone can get to know each other.  Keagan was so excited when we sat down to the computer and I would ask her "what do you want on your poster?"  She would get excited and tell me something and then we would search for pictures.  She was very particular about the pictures she wanted.  Kiki was pretty excited to get to use Mom's scrapbook cutter to cut out her pictures and then of coarse the gluing was the best in her eyes.  But the icing on the cake was when I gave her a bottle of pink glitter glue to trace her name with!!!  Keagan was so proud of her poster and very excited to show Ms. Brenda and her class!
