Build A Bear

One of the Birth-Families gave the girls gift certificates to Build A Bear and we finally got to use them!  The girls were pretty excited and loved doing it!  Keagan decided to spend some of her personal money and get shoes and roller skates for her bear!

Lagoon

Kabree has wanted to go to Lagoon for years!  We decided we just needed to do it and make a little mini vacation out of it!  Matt and Heather were able to go too so we decided to all go down together.  Kabree LOVED it!  She loved every ride and could have stayed the full 12 hours they were open!  Keagan was a little more timid about the rides but she LOVED it too!  Some of our favorite memories from the day were, getting drenched on Rattle Snake Rapids, playing a couple carnival games and swimming at the hotel pool afterwards.  Kabree's favorite rides were Cannibal and Colossus, Keagan's were the Carousal and the Bumper Cars.

Pulling Rye

Heather and I load up our suburbans and headed out to Arbon to help pull some rye.  I had 3 Young Women who did every shift with big smiles on; I think it was for the tall dark haired nephew of mine but they came non the less ;).  Kabree loved it and did great!  She has the same attitude as me she loves being outside, with family and getting exercise. Keagan did pretty darn good considering she is only 6!!!  By the last day though she was crying "please don't make me pull anymore rye".  We are so lucky to have aunt Heather, Aunt Jessica and Kooper (multiple times) give Keagan a break and carry her.  The girls favorite memories of the whole experience were crossing the "ditch" and the flat tire, the two memories I'm most embarrassed about lol.  Thanks to Larin saving us with the tire and Jessica saving me with the ditch, they did turn out pretty funny! We got a lot of miles and hours in and were exhausted by our last shift!  We sure loved those views, loved all the memories it brought back and all the new ones we made!

Pedal Fest 2018

Zach participated in his first mountain bike race.  They didn't start the race until 10:30 a.m. so it was super hot, but he did great and no crashes!  Us girls are pretty proud of him!

Shoshone Falls

Our second adventure of Summer was hiking at Shoshone Falls.  Shoshone Falls is one of our favorite places to go but honestly we don't always explore when there and when we do explore we always explore around Dierkes Lake and the hidden lakes.  We decided to take our exploring the other direction.  The weather didn't cooperate with us but we ended up having a great adventure anyways.  We lucked out and the down pour did hold off long enough for us to get a couple hours of hiking in.  We hiked to Evel Knievels jump site, it was a bit further than we had thought it would be but it was fun for the kids to see and the trail was beautiful.  After hiking we decided we earned some Chick Fa-La and treats at Daisy's Old Time Confections.  Another great day with some of my favorites.  I loved enjoying Idaho, the outdoors and my family this past week.
