Heather and her sister in-law Janell brought there kids over to go Trick-or-treating in our neighborhood this year.  Kabree was super excited and ran the whole time.  After she watched Hanna a couple times she decided she needed to be the person to ring the door bells, let's just say it was a bit of a war.  The problem with Kabree ringing the door bells is she would ring them several times.  Then when they would answer the door and give her a treat she would ask "can I come in?" and start looking inside their houses.  Needless to say I was a bit embarrassed.  After we were done and got home Kabree informed us she needed to do "more trick-or-treating" so at the last minute we decided to run to Zach's parents house to trick-or-treat.  Well we told her the whole way there we are just going to Grandpa's house then leaving we are not trick-or-treating to any other houses.  Well right as we get there Gary asks  "so are we going trick-or-treating", Kabree of coarse "ya, come on Grandpa let's go".  So we told them they could only go to 2 houses, well 6 or 8 houses later we finally got Kabree to agree it was time for us to go home.
This is the conversation we had on the way home:
Kabree "Mom, say trick-or-treat"
Mom "Trick-or-treat"
Kabree "Mom, say sucker"
Mom "Sucker"
Kabree "Sure, here you go"
Kabree "Mom, say thank you"
Mom "Thank you"
Kabree "You're welcome"
Kabree "Dad, say trick-or-treat"
Dad "Trick-or-treat, can I have a sucker"
Kabree "Oh, sure, here you go, get it"
Dad "Thank you"
Kabree "You're Welcome"
Kabree "Mom say trick-or-treat"......
This is the conversation we had all the way from Zach's parents house to our's, so you can imagine how many times we got to say "Trick-or-treat" in a 20 minute time period.

I Won't Give Up On You

"I won't give up on you, I won't change my mind,  no I won't give up on you."
I know you're out there I can feel you in my heart, just know I will never give up on you.
No matter what it takes someday we will find each other.
I don't know how or when but I won't give up on you.
Someday I will hold you in my arms and kiss you goodnight.
I won't give up on you.

My heart aches for my baby that I know is out there, tonight for the first time in a long time I cried for my baby that I know is somewhere out there.  To some this might seem strange or even dramatic but for those who have shared in this ache it's heart braking.  I feel so powerless, so dependent on someone else to help me find my baby, someone else to bring him into this world, someone to find their way to me.  This adoption journey has been rough but just like the first one I know in the end every tear will be worth it.  But I just want my baby and their birthmom to know I won't give up on them.

We had our annual Family Halloween Party this weekend.  As I'm sure you can tell it was hard to catch everyone on camera because it was so crazy.  Katie, Jerry, Matt, Shawn and Troy were all there too, sorry guys didn't get a pic clear enough of you.  I was very bummed that my own daughter was next to impossible to capture : (, she wanted to hop and twirl which meant every single picture I took of her was blurry except for when she was eating.  There was a ton of food and even more laughs.  I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard.
All the kids enjoying Heather's craft
 Kabree loves crafts!
The kids round of musical chairs
Libby and Katie made it to the end, as you can see Katie landed hard!
Zach and Heather at war over the adult musical chairs
 Whitney and JoAnn
Whit shows no mercy even when it is her Grandma
Do you see how serious everyone takes it?
Kabree loving the results of trick-or-treating
 Holli...Winner of Name The Celebrity
Holli...Winner of The Adult Musical Chairs
Yea that's right she won both games!
I can honestly say I was having an awful day, so bad in fact that when Troy called me to ask me when I was leaving I started crying and unloaded everything on him.  But as always him and Wendy drove 20 minutes out of their way to save the day.  They came to my house to divide and conquer as Troy calls is.  He looked at my oven, while Wendy went to buy food for me to take so that Zach and I could get costumes, Whit watched Kab and Cayleb blew up balloons.
Anyways, the badness of the day can be left to another post, all I can say is that this party was the funnest one we have every had.  I have not laughed that hard since I don't know when.  Jessica when I asked her to plan a game decided to do a round for the adults as well.  It might sound dumb but it was the funnest game of musical chairs I have ever witnessed, yes I said witnessed because I sadly was out round 3, lol.  My family is ultra competitive so the roughness of the game should be no surprise to those who know us.  I slammed down so hard that I swear I have a bruise on my behind from the rhinestone on my butt pocket, what's worse is I slammed down on Sarah's lap not a chair so I'm sure her leg had a rhinestone sized bruise on it.  Zach and Heather were yelling at each other over who got their chair first and as the pictures show Whitney and JoAnn went head to head over a chair.  What's sad is Whitney's finger was stuck between the chair they were fighting over and the chair on the other side but that did not stop her from fighting her Grandma for a chair.  The best part of the whole game was that it ended with WENDY and Holli!  Wendy is the quietest most laid back person in our family and she made it all the way to the end.  Holli won in the end though!  She actually won Laurie's name the celebrity game too!!!  We had a blast and can't wait for next year!

Actually Zach made them both but Kabree claims the left one : )

We had Heather, the kids, JT's friend Jannell, Whitney and Jeff over Monday to carve pumpkins.  It was a little crazy but tons of fun!  Some of the adults got a little competitive (some as in Zach, Heather, Jeff and Whitney)!  Everyone got way into the carving and went all out so it was fun!  This was Kabree's first time carving pumpkins!  It was so funny because she was so excited to help and dig into the pumpkin!  I kept teasing her "eeewww it's gross", so she stuck her hand in had a funny look and says "eeeeewwww, that's disgusting!" she sticks her hand in again "eeeewwww, that's disgusting!"  Then she smells the pumpkin guts in her hand and started gagging and dry heaving!  I was laughing so hard!!!  Hat's off to Heather and Zach who carved more than one pumpkin for the night.  I think they all turned out pretty good and we all had a blast!
