Patches

We had to say good bye to our guinea pig Patches.  He was our treat loving, very vocal, very fluffy, most unique looking guinea pig we have ever seen!  He loved to climb up Keagan and give her snuggles.  He HATED getting his hair and toe nails trimmed and he did not like Zach.  He hated when he first got picked up but loved being held and out of the cage.  He loved being outside on the grass.  He loved lettuce, apples, carrots, his guinea pig pretzels, his special seeds and berries.  He grew to be the biggest guinea pig I have ever seen but was a sweet heart who loved to have under his chin and behind his ears pet.  We love you Patches and you will be greatly missed!

Grandma JoAnn's 70 birthday

We got to celebrate Grandma JoAnn's 70th birthday!  Heather and Whitney got to come out and celebrate with us.  We did miss everyone who was busy with harvest but were glad to see everyone who was able to make it! Heather picked up Grandmas favorite Chinese food and then we had cake and ice cream.   We are so grateful for all that Grandma does and all her many talents!  We love you Mom, hope you had a great birthday and can't wait to celebrate many years to come!

New Things

Kabree decided to try out for the 7th grade Volleyball team and made it.  She has decided she loves it and really likes all the other girls too.  She even ended up being number 6 which was Libby's number all through high school and is Justice's soccer number so that's kind of fun!  She hasn't got a lot of playing time yet but her goal is to work really hard and improve so that by the end of the season she gets more and that by next season she will get even more!!

Back In The Saddle Again

Kabree had her first day at William Thomas Middle School.  She was super nervous but it went "amazing" in her words!  Her home room teacher is Mrs. West, everyone was super nice, she made lots of new friends and her and Travis Evans ate lunch with a group of new friends and she didn't miss the volleyball bus so we are feeling like it was a very successful first day!  Kabree's Young Women's leader Cami is a sweetheart and fixed Kabree's hair for the second day of school (she had us come down the night before and braided it for Kabs).

Keagan had her first day of 4th grade and first day in the Big Room being in Mrs. Curry's classroom!  Her day started off very rough having our sweet guinea pig Patches pass away 10 minutes before the bus came.  Keagan being very tender hearted was absolutely heart broken but is also very tuff so she decided to go to school and ride the bus anyways.  She said she had a few hard moments at school but everyone was really nice to her and helped her get through the day!

Summer Fun

This summer has been a blur!  We've had fun with cousins, cousins-cousins, friends, birth families and just our little family!  But one thing is always true for summer it always goes way too fast!!

Bottle Feeding Kittens

Grandma took in 4 orphan kittens this summer and the girls loved getting to bottle feed and play with them.  They named them Loki, Thor, Smokie and Bandit.

Moose
We get to see lots of deer in the valley but not very many Moose.  The girls and I saw a Momma Moose and her baby on the way to Hay days this year!

Crafts
Summer time always means time for crafts right!

Swimming
We actually got to swim a lot this summer but didn't do very good at pictures!!  We went with the Landons several times and never took pictures!!
