Happy Valentine's Day!

We LOVE Valentine's Day in our house!!!  This year it fell on a Sunday so our festivities was scaled down but we still had a great day!  It was a crazy busy, loooong week with regular work but Zach and I also decided to help out at the Flower Shop too.  It was so fun to see old friends and old customers!!! Because of the crazy week it really was so nice to have a quite Sunday Valentine's Day.  The girls were excited to get their gifts of a Florence Chocolate, snap bracelets and a pink rose.  After church we enjoyed grilled hamburgers cooked by Zach and a movie/nap.    We ended the night with decorating sugar cookies as always.  We were getting ready to deliver some to Grandpa Gary and Grandma Sally but discovered they were already headed our way to surprise the girls with a Valentine's treat!
It was a great day celebrating with those I love the most!  I'm so grateful that Zach is teaching our girls how a man should treat a woman....he spoils us girls all the time by getting us little gifts, cooking on holidays and participating in all our crazy plans!  We are sure lucky girls to have a Husband/Dad like him!
Zach is teaching our girls young what to expect for Valentines
Chocolates, jewelry and flowers ; )

After a looooooong, busy week we decided a Sunday movie and nap were in order
As always we decorated sugar cookies

Zach was pretty proud of his 3 cookies : )
This is so something my Dad did when I was a kid, I LOVE things like this!!!!

Valentine Preparations

We decided Family Home Evening was the perfect time to make Valentine cards and Kabree's Valentine box.  Every year we get on Pinterest and let the girls pick their cards.  This year Keagan is obsessed with mustaches so it was no surprise she picked the Valentine she did!  When I asked Kabree what she wanted to make her Valentine box look like she yelled out a Raccoon and was excited to search Raccoon pictures!

Grandma Jane's Valentine making party
Grandma Jane had a Valentine making party!  She had an after school snack ready to go along with a huge variety of Valentine cards and treats to go along with them.  The girls were excited to make more Valentines for their dance classes.  Plus we got to snuggle on the bunnies for a bit!!!

Chase's Eagle

Chase got his Eagle Scout award.  It was a great presentation with super yummy food and lots of Chases friends and family.  Heather had Thai food and it was amazing!!!  We are so proud of Chase.  He is such a great example to his siblings and younger cousins.  He is a smart hard working kid and has a great attitude.  He is always willing to work hard and help people out even when he would rather be playing computer ; ).  We love you Chase and are so proud of you!

Goals

As a family we have decided to set goals together as well as individually.  Each week we review and discuss our progress and talk about how we can improve or help each other.  It has been awesome!!! We couldn't be prouder of our Kabree!!!!  Kab has knocked her goals out of the ball park!  She has taken these challenges and showed us that if you set your mind to it you can do anything!  Kabree's class had a goal to be the first, 1st grade class in our school district for each student in the class to read 20 books. (That's a mouth full).  Kabree took this challenge seriously, she Loves Benny the Bengal!  Kabree read her 20 books within 1 week!  Kabree's class won and got their Pizza party with Benny!

Kabree's individual goal was to concentrate more at school and get all of her work done at the appointed time.  Kabree is very smart and always does her work, she just has to bring it home or stay in for the first 5 min of recess. Kabree is like her Mommy and is a talker and easily distracted so this was a really hard goal for her.  Kabree chose the goal of going a whole week of getting her work done on time every single day; she chose this goal on her own!   We are so proud of  her for reaching her goal!!!  Kabree chose a night at Jump In with a friend for her reward.  She of coarse called up Justice and had a ball!

Keagan was so excited to find the "K"
The Daddy and Mommy reached some of their mini goals too and my reward was getting my hair done.  Kabree LOVES Ashlie and wanted to come with me.  Ashlie is the Director of Austin Kade so Kabree gets special treatment when we go, this time she got to work on one of the dolls!  She warned Ashlie "When I grow up I'm going to your school Ashlie!"
