Denver
It's that time of year again, my family branded cows on the 14th, not exactly my ideal anniversary activity but that's ok.   Kabree HATED the cows and pretty much cowered or cried the whole time we were there.  She would not even smile when we put her on a horse, she would just pout and say "cows"or look at the horse and say "this isn't Pal, I want Pal, Pal, come here boy", yes that's how she talks to Pal, who she thinks is officially her horse now.   I told my Dad to quit putting her on him, now she is extremely attached to him, she likes all horses but only wants to ride Pal.  Actually I'm on the hunt for a palomino Schleich horse now because she looks at the ones she has and throws them down saying "where's Pal".
During the branding, Hanna, Mattie and Morgan decided to make mud pies, oh how I miss being a kid.  They were so excited running around finding things to throw into their mud, too cute : ).  Justice was happy just petting the dogs and the one baby calf.  Kabree would stand by it but no way would she love on it like Justice was doing, it was cute but it was still a cow.
They were a little short handed this year so thank goodness Heather's boys brought their scout troop out to help, those boys were great.  Mom (JoAnn) was very excited to rope two legs three times this year.  Kooper, oh my goodness, let me start by saying is a shy kid and a little timid, but you would never know that when you see him on his horse.  He was so good at helping Heather and I keep the done cows in the pasture.  When Captain Jack would cut quick to catch a cow I was sure Kooper would get upset but he took it in stride, he loped and cut cows all day with out even batting an eye lash.  He even tried out roping off Captain this year too.  He is such a dang cute kid and one very handsome cowboy.

Sean The Sheep

One of Kabree's latest fascinations is the (stupid, claymation) show Sean The Sheep.  So, as you can imagine, when Shay brought home her 4-H lamb Kabree was intrigued.  Her first encounter was when Katie was walking her down by the barn to see the horses and Kabree heard the sheep baaing from the barn, this freaked Kabree out as she informed Katie "scary".  Later that day Shay brought the lamb up to the house for Kabree to pet, which she would have no part in and the more we tried to encourage it the more she protested.  After about 10 minutes Kabree, when she thought no one was looking, pet the sheep.  Then she realized it was fun and from then on she wanted to take over.  She now tells Shay "here, here, mine, come on sheep".  When ever people ask her the sheeps name she says "Sean", my brother Shawn just smiles at her and tells her it's a girl but she doesn't care, she still calls it "Sean", which by the way Shay has not named it yet and that is not it's name.  But this little lamb is so sweet and cute, I'm already attached I don't know how this is going to work come August : (.

Backyardigans Disaster

Kabree was singing the Backyardigan song

She was trying to get them to dance and make a circle
The end result
I finally caved and let Kabree have her clay Backyardigans that my Mom made her for her birthday cake.  Kabree loves the Backyardigans and has asked me everyday since her Birthday to play with them.  She was so excited when I gave them to her, she picked each one up and called them by name then started singing and having them dance.  It was so dang cute to watch I started to feel bad I had waited so long to give them to her.  Then I hear "oh no, oh no, Mommy look Autstin, oh no, oh no, Mommy look Tasha" the "oh no's" were very upset as she ran to me with Backyardigan ears, hands and even one head in her hand.  I explained to her that they were clay and broke easy and I would try to super glue them together later, she proceeded to sob for 10 minutes crying "Tasha, Tasha.....Tasha".  It was very sad and I realized why I hadn't given my sweet little 2 year old fragile clay toys sooner.  We decided that now that they are mostly glued back together minus a finger or two we will leave them on her shelf for a little while longer.
