The Doo to Match The Attitude

The last 4 weeks have been INSANE!!!  Between our jobs, our church callings, class field trips, soccer, dance and just regular life we have been running non stop and feeling like we will barely survive!  All of us are tired, ready for better food (we are getting pretty sick of pb&j or spaghetti for dinner), and all a touch sassy!  So what better hair doo for the girls than one to match our attitude lately....a whole lot of sassy and a splash of crazy!

Stress Relief

As I have mentioned our lives have been CRAZY as of late!  Zach and I both have been pretty stressed with EVERYTHING so we needed to find our own ways to deal with the stress.  Zach's work project that he has been working on for the last 18 months finally launched the first of this month; which meant a few very stressful insanely over worked weeks for him!   As soon as he was confident it was a 100% he took a day off work and went Turkey hunting.  We had our Young Womens fundraiser, dance pics, dance practices, soccer practices and games, our school Fun Run, my regular volunteering, regular work, 4 field trips, the school carnival, Seminary graduation, plus regular life!  So I decided to give the newest establishment to our town a visit; Sips, and did some nails!  Thankfully we now both feel like we can finish off the last week with our heads still above water!

Oh The Places We Will Go...

Kabree's class assignment this month was to talk about what they want to be when they grow up and why.  To go along with this assignment they have had some pretty fun field trips and activities!
Field Trip 1
First they had a field trip to the local library and to Stuarts Photography!  I had to work so I was pretty bummed I didn't get to join in on this field trip.  Kabree said her favorite part was the library because they let her play Mind Craft on the computer; we are mean and don't let them play at home lol.  At the Photography studio they took the kids pictures and let them pick their background for their personal pictures and let them pick their own poses for the group picture.  I'm pretty bias but Kabree had the best pose for sure!!!

Then they got to have a Vet come into their classroom and talk to them.  Kabree loved it because the Vet gave them each surgical gloves, masks and hats.
Field Trip 2
The next field trip was Pizza Pie Cafe and the Museum of Natural History.  Keagan and I tagged along on this field trip and had a blast.  Adrianne and Kolins came too and Keagan thought that was pretty great!  The kids got to learn about how they cook the pasta, make the dough, watch them make the pizzas and then they got to enjoy the food they got to see being made!  The workers were great with the kids and the kids had so much fun!  After eating they headed to ISU to play on the quad for a bit before the Museum.  In the museum they got to learn about the worlds largest snake, make their own fossils and play in the kid area!

Field Trip 3
For our 3rd field trip the kiddos went on a hike up City Creek and to the Museum of Clean.  Justice had a field trip that day to the Zoo so Heather invited Keagan to go with them.  Kabree loved the hike and thought the Museum of Clean was pretty great too!

Field Trip 4
For the last field trip the kids walked to Hancok Dental and then to the park to play before walking back to the school.  The ladies at the Dentist office were amazing!  They did a craft, talked to them about healthy foods for our teeth, taught them how to brush and floss properly and then they showed the kids what all of the tools do.

Keagan LOVED being part of the field trips and all of Kabree's class is so good with her!

Tuff as Nails!

This Mom of mine is tuff as nails; in more than one way!  Mom was helping Larin round the cows up to take them out to pasture when her horse bucked and she got thrown off the back.  Dad rushed her to the hospital to find out she fractured a rib and got two compression fractures in her back.  She is expected to make a full recovery but is pretty sore and bruised up for now.  Needless to say Mom is out for the last 2 weeks of school and the remaining 3 field trips are left up to Dad and Larin.....this might be what's keeping her in good spirits considering ; ).
