Wild Adventure Corn Maze

As always Zachs work gives us free tickets the the Wild Adventure Corn Maze.  This year we were thinking of bagging it because I had hurt my leg a couple days before and was still limping but the girls LOVE it and it's one of their favorite traditions every October so we decided to go and only do the medium maze.  The girls loved it and had fun as always.  This year Keagan got the courage to do the zipline and loved it!!

O.N. Tour

Heather invited us to tour ON Semiconductor, Grandpa and Grandma joined in too.  The girls loved seeing where Heather works and what they do!  Kabree said "it was pretty amazing!"  Honestly, it is pretty cool what they do and the tour was fun.  I won't lie I was dying by the end though (I had hurt my thigh muscle and all the stairs killed me, which I found out from the Doctor the next day was the worst thing I could have done).  The kids loved that they got to make rockets, eat "green" ON cookies, got new water bottles (they have used them everyday since) and cool ON lanyards.  Keagan did say that the suits they wear give her nightmares so she would not try them on.  She did stand behind the cardboard cut out though ;).  After the tour we all met up at Tastee Treat for dinner and ice cream.

Black Eye, Round Two

Believe it or not I got a call from the school 10 days out from Kabree breaking her nose to tell me there was an incident at the school.  Apparently, Kabee was playing soccer and she tripped over a kindergartner, the little boy fell on her and hit her top eye bone with the back of his head.  The office said it looked awful and they were worried a little bit.  But she wasn't crying or complaining at all.  That's our Kabree she is the toughest kid I know!!  We decided to let her stay at school but after school she said it had hurt all day and her eye was pretty bad already; swollen and dark.  We decided to walk down to the Walkers and have Brad take a look at it!  He checked her nose and her eye bone and said her nose cartilage was still swollen but considering everything she looked good.
The next morning Kabree's eye was half way swollen shut and BLACK!!!  She did not want to go to school but we eventually we convinced her.  We have decided we might need to bubble wrap this girl for the next year!!
This is the picture I got from the school right after it happened
These are 3 hours later right after school

This was the next day, she was embarrassed to show how her eye couldn't open all the way.
This is a few days in, the swelling went down but her eye stayed purple and black for over a week!
