Night of Swimming

We decided to have a staycation this spring break so we are filling everyday with fun family filled activities.  Heather, Hanna and Justice joined us for a night of swimming.  The kiddos could have swam all night if we would have let them.  Their favorite thing was to jump off the side!  Who ever invented these crazy little floaties deserves every penny!  It was a great night and we will all be sleeping well tonight!

This little Miss isn't scared of water at all!!!
Justice showing us his skills

Museum of Idaho CSI

We officially kicked off spring break by attending the Museum of Idaho with Heather and her kiddos.  We didn't realize until we got there that CSI stood for Crime Scene Insects but we still had fun anyways.  As always we love us a chance to play in a photo booth and had so much fun spending the day with some of our favorite peeps!

Again I didn't bring my camera so we are stuck with crappy cell phone pics but I had to share pics from this fun trip!

When Life Gives You Lemons....

We had a very rough week last week with Keagan being sick, our cat dying and our Sunday plans got changed at the last minute.  Our girls were having a hard time with EVERYTHING and the Sunday falling through was the final blow.  Kabree was devastated and after crying all morning I called Heather to see what they were doing and as always she saved the day.  We are so lucky to be surrounded by awesome people who are always willing to let us crash their parties and welcome us with open arms.  We crashed a Davis family birthday party at Outer Limits and crashed a Casper family BBQ with some T-Ball.  It was just what this family needed to kick off Spring Break and leave the last week behind us.  Thanks Heather for always being so awesome and thank you Davis and Caper families for always making us feel welcome and for the fun Sunday afternoon!!!
 Our first time playing T-Ball

***Disclaimer I have been awful about taking my camera along the last month or two and I suck at taking pictures on my phone so I apologize for the crappy quality but at least I took them ;)

Fat Lip

This cute little kiddo was feeling 100% Saturday, so by Sunday morning we were feeling 110%!!!  With all of that energy and excitement of knowing after church we were going to be doing something fun she was bouncing off the walls and even decided to have a little mini water fight with Dad.  Unfortunately, she slipped on the water and landed right on her poor little face.

Fat lip just in time for our 3 year pictures : )

Keagan decided the only thing that would make her feel better was a Barbie band aid and she insisted she needed to put it on her self "where it hurts Mommy".  Well as you can see where it hurt wasn't the best spot for a band aid ; ).
After gagging a few times Keagan decided she band aid could go on her finger instead
Sometimes just knowing you have a band aid in your hand makes the owie better

This cutie has been such a trooper lately with all of her bad luck and we just couldn't love her and her sweet little personality any more if we tried!!!!

Daisy

We said good bye to our 13 year old cat Daisy.  She was a very full of personality cat.  She either intrigued people or left them anxiously wondering when her next attack might come.  She hated most men and only tolerated Zach.  Let's be honest she hated most people but LOVED Jessi and was starting to love Kabree.  For those who ever did get to pet her, she was the softest cat you would ever feel.
Daisy will always have a very special place in my heart, she was with me during the hardest times of my life, when I felt the most alone she brought me comfort.  After Kevin died she would lay on the bed next to me, when I cried she would nudge me with her nose or try to lick my tears away.  When we had a miscarriage on Mothers Day she laid by me the whole day while I cried in my pillow.  To others she seemed like a ferocious cat but to me she was the one thing that connecting me to all of my "lives".  I will miss my soft little fur baby who slept next to me (on top of my laundry basket) every night for the last 13 years.
We will miss our Buddha cat, our cat who loved to attack my brothers, who would bite the back of your head if you leaned too far back in the couch while she was sitting there.  We will miss the phone calls from babysitters too scared to walk down the hall past the cat.  We will miss hearing her meowing the second we pulled in the driveway and her waking us up if we tried to sleep past 8 (8 a.m. was her treat time).  We will miss her tons and though our hearts are sad we are grateful we had the time we did to have Daisy as our pet.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

What's more fun to a kid then a day full of tricks, treats and being allowed to pinch anyone not wearing green!!!  With two (full of energy) girls every holiday is a blast!  The girls were very excited to wake up and find a treat had been left on our table!
Is there any better treat than sugar cereal!?!
We had to be sure to wear green...Kabree informed us she would pinch anyone
not wearing green and we had until 9 a.m. to be dressed for the day!
Wearing green is easy for Zach; considering where he works
We decided to do a little craft with some of our favorite treats
Our favorite way to use glue is with a paint brush, not only does it make us feel like we are painting (our favorite craft as of late) but it also cuts the mess with a certain 2 year old in half!
Making crafts is serious business in this household

Happy St. Patties Day from our family to yours!!!!

On a side note:
Little Ms. Keagan is yet again sick : (.  We took her to the doctor Sunday morning and she not only has an ear infection but has Influenza B as well.  The doctor told us she is extremely contagious for 7-10 days and we really need to keep her away from others and Kabree as best we can.  So for us that means no Hanna and Justice, no friend play dates, no family visitors and no errands until Keke hasn't had a fever for 24 hours.  Anyone who knows this family knows this is pure torture!!!!  Even Cleo is going crazy and we are only on day 3!!!  Lucky for Kabree and Zach they have school and work but for now Keagan and I are home bound!!!
We have discovered with this little experience that Keagan reacts a little different to Tamiflu!  It makes Keagan have mood swings.  She is pale and has a high fever, but she is jumping off of the walls, chair, couches, dressers, you name it she is jumping off it.  Then the next minute she is passed out on the couch saying "I sick, I sick" then screaming and jumping 5 minutes later, then crying the next minute or yelling a moment later because she can't see her friends. Needless to say, it's been interesting and entertaining!

Watching the neighbors work in their yard
and yelling out the window to them always cheers us up!

Also FYI it's not an illusion our dog really is 4 1/2 months and that big!
We still got another 90 lbs to go baby!

Dance, Dance Baby

We got to attend our annual Dance Factory Dance Competition this weekend.  As always the girls LOVED it and this year not only is Hanna at the Dance Factory with us but so is Lynden and McKady!
Breakfast of champions...Blueberry muffin bites and chocolate milk
Can I also just add that these girls were great about our early morning
Shay joined us to help out with Miss Keagan
Lynden, Kabree & Hanna
Kabree & McKady
Seriously...how could this costume be any cuter!?!
Plus I have to add they danced to "My Boyfriends Back"...doesn't that just make it even cuter?!?!
I know it's blurry but how could I not include this jump!?!?!?!
Kabree loves that her Daddy comes to every recital & competition with us

Kabree & Ms. Rachel
We have LOVED Ms. Rachel!!!
Keagan is Kabrees biggest fan!!!

So what's the best way to end a long day filled with travel and dance...chocolate chip scones!  Shay found a recipe on Pinterest that she wanted to try so we convinced her to try it out on us.  They weren't bad but we decided we are more cookie and brownie people than scone people ; ).

It was a fun day filled with some of our favorite things and favorite people.  Kabree loves dance, her teacher and everything involved with it.  We are so proud of her and how much she has improved over the last year.  We were also so proud of her responsibility this year; Kabree was great about changing quickly and hurrying to the next number.  She loved that we snuck into the auditorium to watch a few solos of the older girls we know.  Again it was a great day spent as a family supporting Kabree.
