For our second day of our family get away we did a little shopping and then headed to the Museum of Natural Curiosity.  Kabree was so excited when we pulled up and she saw the girl on the front of the building giving a thumbs up, she said "that means this place is awesome!"  We have heard rave reviews about the Curiosity Museum and it definitely didn't disappoint!  This place was a kids dream place!  The girls could have spent all day playing!  They loved Kidopolis!  Kabree loved the room where they stood in front of a grey curtain and made a movie.  Keagan LOVED the laundry room, she loved spinning and mixing the soaps.  But I think it's safe to say their favorite was the Water Works area!  Good thing they had rain jackets to borrow or we would have been soaked!!!  Keagan discovered the on off valves and LOVED opening and shutting them.  They had a HUGE Jungle Gym area with insane rope bridges.  Kabree once again took on the challenge with Zach and Keagan and by the time they were done she wasn't even scared anymore!!  They could have played for hours in the play area but there was SOOOOO many people there that it was hard to keep track of the kiddos and made these parents a little too nervous for comfort.  The Museum was awesome and was for sure another hit with the kids!  Next time we will try to go during the week though and maybe avoid a little bit of the crowd.
After the museum we stopped for a quick lunch and then headed to Cabela's.  The girls were easily entertained with all the hunting games, the fish and the taxidermied animals.  We even enjoyed some yummy fudge.  About the time they were done so were Zach and Grandpa so it worked out perfectly!
We had such a fun weekend and loved that Grandpa and Grandma were able to join us.  This little get away was exactly what these parents needed before heading into the crazy holidays!
