We kicked off the family party this year roasting hot dogs and enjoying yummy salads and desserts brought by everyone. We decided that a family walk to Taste Treat for some ice cream would be fun and as always with this crazy family it didn't disappoint! The kids thought it was great and the teenagers were silly as always wanting to hitch a ride in the wagon. Zach decided to give Shay a wild ride! We all made it safely there and enjoyed our yummy treats! We did hang out a bit longer then planned so we did end up walking home when it was a little darker then planned but we still enjoyed it. Once back to Heathers we started up the fire and roasted some marshmallows. Once the kids got their fill they headed to the garage for some sidewalk chalk fun. When we finally decided to call it a night Larin and Jessica took a camper full of kids for the night and we invited Justice to have a sleep over with Kabree. Zach pulled out the air mattress which they both thought was pretty great.
We started or 2nd day off with muffins and everyone's favorite kinds of cereals; this family likes their sugar cereal : ). We enjoyed visiting and the kids played their hearts out. After lunch the girls all headed to Kabree and Hanna's dance recital while the boys stayed back and played. Kabree and Hanna did great and LOVED that they had so much support! After the recital we all met back up for a short visit before heading our separate ways. We had so much fun this weekend and are so grateful we were able to spend time with family!
