Kabree has been asking over and over to go see the cows, yes this is the child that last year was terrified beyond belief of cows. Well Larin invited us to ride with him to go check the cows Saturday so we tagged along. Kabree was very excited pulling into the pasture and driving around pointing to all the cows 'look there's a baby one...look there's a cow!" Larin pulled up to a baby one and jumped out and grabbed it for Kabree to pet, she was hesitant but considering it until it moo'd then she came unglued! "I don't want to pet it" as she climbed over top of me to get to the other side of the truck. So, Larin jumped back in and off we went to finish checking. We found a brand new baby that had just been born after a lot of coaxing Zach convinced Kabree to get out of the truck but only if he held her and she didn't have to pet it. Then we headed to the barn to check on a baby who had just been grafted over to a new cow. Kabree already was hesitant, but very curious. She liked looking at it close but having the fence between them. Larin pulled the calf out for her to pet to which she said "ooohhhh it's adorable", seriously where does she get it anyways she was pretty worried but pet the baby and thought it was pretty neat, but just for a minute then she told Larin "I'm done, put it back, I'm good". Then she discovered that the 4-wheeler was in another stall and had to check it out. I think maybe our crippling fear of cows might be getting better...I guess only time will tell, we will see come May and branding time.
