Families Supporting Adoption

I got asked last year to be the Families Supporting Adoption CO Chair for our local chapter.  They are a non-profit, non religious group that helps support and educate about adoption.  I have really enjoyed it and have go to work with and meet some amazing people.  Twice a year I do education classes for LDS Family Services to help their couples fulfill their adoption education requirements.  I along with Zach and Keri have got to go to high schools and do adoption presentations in their health classes.  It has really been so educational and rewarding and I love the other couples we get to work with.  We have a great committee, they are so awesome and work so hard.
I'm writing this for a couple reasons, first to say how grateful I am to be able to be a part of such a great organization that is helping educate and promote adoption. Adoption has changed my life in so many ways words could never truly define it.  I have learned what a selfless sacrifice the birthparents make and I have learned what joy a child can bring to your life.  Adoption has blessed my life more then I could have ever imagined possible, we love Kabree more then anything in the world and everyday we thank Heavenly Father for guiding Spencer and Keri to us.  We thank our Heavenly Father for them and their sacrifice and willingness to make us a family.  We love them more then they will ever know.

My second point of this is to say that though no one else in my family has or is adopting they are always so great to support me.  Because I'm the FSA CO Chair they come to any activities they can.  We had a Family Ski Night this last weekend and a huge group of my family came and the two brothers that couldn't make it text me to tell me they hoped it went good and sorry they couldn't make it.  I love my family so much and love how supportive they are.  I don't know what I would do with out them.  Adoption was never a difficult thing for me because my family was always so supportive and open to the idea.  I'm so grateful to be blessed with the BEST FAMILY EVERY!

What a great experience! I bet you are really good at this. It's amazing to see how the Lord has guided everything to have you exactly where He needs you--and you probably won't ever have any idea of all the good you've been able to do. Thanks for this post!
