Hunting We Will Go

This years hunting adventures with the girls was a lot of spotting, hiking, and enjoying good daddy daughter time. This year both of the girls were determined to shoot bigger bucks or go home to tag soup. On the last day that I had to take Keagan out deer hunting she was able to tag out. We got up early went out spotting first thing in the morning. It seemed like nothing was moving around that morning and so we were on the move to go to a different location. As I was driving, Keagan yelled at me to stop she saw a deer. She told me that there were two bucks about 30 yards from where we were driving. We bailed out of Vance's defender to get up the small hill to see where they were going. We were able to find them running in the cedar trees and they meet up with some other does on the hill side. Everything calmed down and was just feeding on the hillside. Keagan laid down, lined up her shot at the buck at 412 yards away. She was able to make a great double lung shot and he didn't go very far at all. She loves her .243 Win Mag and was so excited to tag out on a nice 4 point. As for the rest of us, no one of us tagged out.
