Florida Day 1

   Gary and Sally gifted all of their kids and grandkids plane tickets and hotels for a trip to Destin, Florida. Day 1 was bright and early!  We left our house at 3:00 A.M. to head to the Salt Lake airport.  As we were loading the car Larin's dogs kept barking (us girls thought they were barking at us outside in the dark) as we were getting ready to get into the car Zach comes back outside with a flashlight and a gun saying the dogs had chased a racoon up the telephone pole!   When Zach got over to the telephone pole the racoon jumped out and the dogs both jumped on it and it was a free-for-all; the dogs were attacking the racoon, the racoon was attacking the dogs the dogs were barking and whining from being bitten and scratched at.  Hearing them whining us girls start yelling the dogs names for them to come to us in the yard, Zach starts shooting to the side.  I can only imagine if everyone on the farm had their windows open what they were hearing and thinking ;).  The dogs did run to us girls and Zach was able to shoot the racoon and we were able to get on our way to the airport...however, the girls were not able to sleep after that ;).  Then 10 miles down the road a truck was randomly left in the middle of the road with no one in it.  Then 5 more miles past that a dead cow was in the middle of the road.  We decided Arbon was a little more exciting than we ever knew so early in the morning!

  Once at the airport we met up with Skylar and Caleb and their families.  It was so fun to see and hear the kids excitement for the trip and to fly.  We met Gary, Sally and Kira and her kids in Texas and flew the rest of the way all together!  Once in Florida we got our rental cars and headed to the hotel for some pool time before bed.
