First Day Of School

  Both girls were excited and nervous to start their first day at Arbon Elementary School.  Kabree will start 4th grade with Mrs. Curry as her teacher and 1 other student in her grade.  Keagan will start 1st grade with Mrs. Claunch as her teacher and 4 other students in her grade.

Getting Ready For School

  Before the first day of school, at a new school we decided to read one of our favorite stories "The Kissing Hand."  Then I gave the girls each a bracelet with a poem:

"Here are two bracelets, one big and one small. For your first day of school that is coming this Fall.  I'll wear the big one and I'll think of you. The small one is yours, so you'll think of me too.  Wear it to school while you work and play to have my heart with you while your're away."

 Then Zach gave each of the girls a blessing.  We all have had mixed emotions as we have discussed our thoughts and feelings about all of the upcoming changes.  We were even able to get a quick hi/goodbye in with Aunt Sissy before getting to bed.

Losing Teeth

  Keagan lost her first tooth!!  To say she was excited would be a HUGE understatement! Saturday night Keagan discovered her tooth was loose and prayed her little heart out at bedtime that it would come out.  Sunday morning at church she showed everyone and asked pretty much everyone to try to pull it out (I know all those hands in her mouth....ahhhh).  She even tried to bare her testimony about it!  During Sharing Time she asked her teacher to "try really hard this time," well he did and it came out accompanied with a lot of excitement from the entire Primary room lol.  She had to keep running to look in the mirror at her new grin!  We sure love our Kiki and how excited she gets over everything, it reminds us to find the joy in life.
