Magic Tree House
Kabree has to do 2 book reports a month based on certain topics. This month was your favorite author. Kabree's favorite books are The Magic Tree House series by Mary Pope Osborne. For one of her book reports she took an AR test and for the other one she decided she wanted to make a tree house. She had great ideas and got to work; she did have to have some help with the cutting of the popsicle sticks and the hot glue gun but it turned out great!
Broken Bones
Who ever said boys aren't for the faint of heart never met our Kabree!!! This kid is so tuff and active that she is beating us all with stitches and broken bones. So you would think that gymnastics or playing goalie in soccer is where Kabree would break her nose, nope in our own backyard!
The kids were playing dodge ball on the trampoline and Kabree came down with the ball hard and hit her nose right into someones forehead. They hit so hard that the other kid had a bruise and a bump where her nose hit them. Her nose swelled up and wouldn't stop bleeding so Zach took her in. I was on the way to Utah with my siblings and parents for a funeral and Zach was getting ready to go sing in his Quartet for the Saturday session of Stake Conference. Luckily our babysitters were able to run over 20 minutes early so Zach could run Kab to the doctor. She lucked out because it was a up and down break and not a right to left break so hopefully, fingers crossed her nose will heal with no bumps and will heal straight. So far things look great!
The hardest thing for Kabree was no outside recess, no soccer and no gymnastics, or exercise for 7 days!!! She did try to find a loop hole, the one day her teacher left for lunch so she asked another teacher if she could go outside for recess and they let her and she ran the track!!! But after I talked with the office, everyone was aware and kept little Miss inside the rest of the week!
Kabree didn't want people to know she had broke her nose except for her close friends so when people would look at her and ask her why her nose was green colored she would just look at them and tell them they were weird lol. By the end of the first week her eyes and face were all pretty crazy colored so she had to confess she broke her nose by then ;)
Kab was such a trooper and would only say her nose was sore but never complained about pain, having to ice her face or not being able to do her normal activities. We sure love this tuff nut of ours and are grateful she has healed so well!
