Riding Through Town

  To celebrate winning State the Cheer team got to ride the Fire Truck through town.  It was so fun to see all the kids so excited!!  Of coarse it was the one freezing cold day we've had in weeks but they still had so much fun!

Pride Week

   No surprise Keagan loves participating in things like Pride Week.  She dressed up everyday and all of her friends were in one of the lunch time activities.  Keagan got to participate in Just Dance and made it into the finals but ended up getting 4th place.  She said she had so much fun and was just glad the 8th graders won Pride Week ;)!

State Cheer

  To say State Cheer was the craziest, most emotional, amazing day, would be an understatement.  The girls did amazing!!  The competition was phenomenal this year!! After every routine we would hear our kids yelling and cheering as soon as they walked back stage.  Kabree said they all didn't care if they won or lost, where they placed they were having a blast and loving the energy. She said every time they came off from performing the other teams would be cheering for them and complementing them. She said our district was routing for each other and cheering each other on so hard it made it the funnest competition ever. When it came time for awards, it was so emotional.  We got 4th in Pom (Our hearts sank, that's the lowest we have every placed in anything.  I won't lie my eyes filled with tears because I worried we wouldn't place at all.  The girls faces fell and they went from being on top of the world to realizing they might not place at all at state).  Then we got 1st in Show (the biggest category, we were so excited and cheering, hoping we have a chance still.  But Sugar Salem is now sad, they have always got 1st in Show).  Then we got 1st in Sideline (Now everyone is confused looking at each other bc Bear Lake won first in Show for all girls and they won higher in Pom then us but lower in Sideline.  Sugar Salem scored higher in Pom, 2nd in Show and 2nd in Sideline.)  So the whole audience and all the girls are nervous, excited and super tense because it could be any of the 3 schools at this point. Then they announce 2nd runner up is Sugar Salem (they have won state every year for the last 10 years, they were devastated. My heart broke for them and their parents sitting all around us).  Now its between us and Bear Lake (both from our district).  Then they announce Bear Lake as 1st runner up and immediately announce American Falls as this years State Champions!  Both school started crying and cheering!! Bear Lake has never placed at state and we have not won state in 16 years! The Snake River cheerleaders jumped up and started hugging all of our girls too!  It was such an amazing experience!  All of us parents were teary eyed for our kids!!
