Pip, Zip, Hatch, Peep

The Bigroom incubated chickens!  Holy smokes what a fascinating, fun experience it was!  Keagan and I loved every part of it!  The candling, to see what ones were making it along the way, wow towards the end seeing the veins then seeing the feathers was mind blowing! Cracking open store bought eggs vs fertilized eggs to show what a fertilized egg vs non fertilized egg looks like.  Taste testing non fertilized vs fertilized (store bought vs non store bought).  4 of the chicks piped, zipped and hatched during the night but one piped, zipped and hatched during school so we all got to watch it!  Sadly Little Foot didn't make it, he was so much smaller than the rest of the other chicks that during the night when they huddled he got smothered.  But the other 4 did and thrived.  The kids absolutely loved getting to watch the chicks grow so quickly and getting to hold them while they read.  It was so much fun and we can't wait for next years big science activity with Mrs. De!

Runners Club Reward

This year for runners club all the Bigroom got socks with their faces on them for there last reward!

I Love To See The Temple

We got to go through the temple with one of our favorite people.  Samantha decided to go through the temple and invited us to go with her.  I loved when she shared her thoughts "What are you waiting for?" "I don't know, something amazing I guess" This is what she felt like her conversation has been with God since she felt like her mission wasn't a mission but to go to college.  She felt like she needed a jaw dropping moment, a ring or a tag to go through the temple.  But then she realized God was the jaw dropping moment!  Man I just love Sam and the whole Snyder family so much!  You can't help but feel love and joy when you spend time with them!

Science Fair

Kabree and her friends Italy and Payten did the 8th grade Science Fair together.  They played 3 different genres of music and saw how Billy and Filly the goats reacted to them.

Brandings

Keagan has decided she loves brandings.  We aren't sure if it's the brandings themselves or if it's the sodas and social aspects of them ;).  Either way if she gets invited she wants to be there!  We got invited to the Williams' branding, Zach went for the whole day but Keagan and I only showed up towards the end.  We were in town for Volleyball before hand but once we got there Melanie offered for Keagan to ride her horse Sparky.  She still got to enjoy some social time with her friends and some soda too.

The Ward Farms branding landed on the same day as Libby's graduation so I didn't get to go. But everyone else did and said it went great and they had fun!

Thank you Katie for getting a picture of my girls ;)

Liberty's Graduation

I got to go to Liberty's graduation from the college of Pharmacy.  We are so proud of her and her huge accomplishment!  It was such a great day and I'm so grateful I got to be apart of it and help celebrate her!  Libby holds such a special place in my heart, we've shared countless laughs and tears together.  I know how hard she has worked for this and it has been such a honor to watch her grow into such a beautiful, accomplished woman!

Making Pretzels

Both girls are turning into little cooks and bakers and I won't lie sometimes I have a hard time turning over the reins because I stress over the mess ;).  Keagan was begging to make pretzels and I was not up for the mess but Kabree was willing to help her so off they went!  It was a very yummy success!
