Oh Snap!

Well Grandpa Vance called it, we didn't even make it a week with the ripstik before Kabree broke her arm.  Poor kid was playing with her friends at recess and caught the back of one of their feet and crashed, landing her whole body on her wrist.  Even though it sucks we are counting our blessings.  We said a prayer on the way to Pocatello that we would be prompted and the Doctors would be prompted to make the best decisions for Kabrees arm.  At the very last second we were prompted to go to a different clinic than we usually go to and come to find out the power was out at our usual one and we ended up having a Nurse that used to work at the Hand Institute and was able to set and cast Kabree's arm (according to the PA at the clinic, better than any of them could do).  Zach took Kabree up to the specialist and the PA there said Kabree would be fine to wait until the next week to officially see them but then 10 min later the Dr called me and said "no, it cannot wait" and he wants to see her ASAP and worked us in the with in a day. They would usually do surgery for the type/location of the break (because of how much you use your wrist it's hard to heal properly) but bc the stars all aligned and he got us in soon enough they are optimistic a cast (full arm cast :() will work.  It was pretty rough for Kab's when they set the bone and modeled the cast but she is our tuff cookie and will be back to good in no time! She was pretty excited to pick the color and to let everyone sign it!

Branding

We haven't been to the Ward branding in 5 years so our girls were pretty excited to see what it was all about.  The girls thought it was great and loved that so many of their friends from school were there.  Mattie gets the best cousin award for being so patient and working her buns off all day helping Katlynn and Kabree pull calves out and then even did it with a whole line of little kids too!!

First Hunt

Zach and Caleb took Kabree and Adam out shooting.  Kabree was pretty excited to show me her first ground squirrel.

Ripping It Up

Kabree has been working hard at Runners Club to get to 75 miles which earns them a Ripstik.  She was super EXCITED and could hardly wait to get off the bus and show it off!  We are so proud of her and so grateful for a school with such fun incentives!
