Cousin Party
Since Heather and my kids are as close as you can be without actually being siblings we do a little cousin Christmas party every year. This year Heather and I thought it would be fun to have the kids make each others gifts! Great idea but by the time my kids made 5 for Heathers kids and then for all their Grandmas (3) and Birthmoms, it was a little bit of a bigger job than we thought it would be lol. We love being so close to Heather and that the kids are so close!
Christmas Cookies
Grandma Cindi couldn't wait any longer to give the girls their Christmas gifts from her and Grandpa Mark so she invited the girls over to make cookies with cousins and to open gifts. The girls had so much fun. Two little girls dreams came true getting American Girl Dolls. Keagan and Austin played great together and Kabree and Elly had so much fun! The girls helped Grandma make chocolate chip cookies and then all the kids made pizza for lunch. It was so much fun visiting with the whole family and for the girls to get to know them all! We are so blessed to have open adoption and that the welcome our whole family with open arms.
Kabree's Class Party
I got to help out in Kabree's Christmas party. Since I got a little busy with church activities and being sick I decided to just reuse last years game. Kabree was so good about it and so was all of her little friends that were in her class last year too. I love helping in the girls classrooms and it was super hard for me not to be able to be in both places but this year I was Kabree's classroom Mom so I went to hers. Kabree and I have both LOVED her student teacher Ms. Luce, she is a sweetheart and I have loved working with her in my 3rd grade focus group! We are sure going to miss her at Chubbuck but are so happy for her that she graduated on a Friday and recieved a job offer at Tyhee the following Monday.

Keagan's Dance Recital
We decided we needed a change of pace and tried out a new dance studio this year. We have loved Ms. Kristi but Keagan decided she wants a break from dance. I was a little sad knowing this will be her last dance recital for at least awhile. I love watching her dance, she is so good at it and she is so stinking cute doing it! She did amazing as always! Heather, Justice, Grandma JoAnn, Grandpa Mark and Grandma Cindi were all able to make it to her recital. Before her recital while taking pictures Keagan said she needed a picture of her hair to show uncle Larin and Shawn what long hair looks like lol!
Kabree's Piano Recital
Kabree has loved doing piano, she is great to practice (lets hope it stays that way) and is loving seeing her improvement. Grandpa Gary and Grandma Sally were able to join us for her recital. Kabree did great and we are so proud of her.
Elly and Kabree
Picnic By The Tree
Well Kabree said she doesn't love this tradition and she would be okay without it but Keagan said it was her favorite...of coarse they don't agree lol! We lucked out and Grandpa Grary and Grandma Sally were in town and joined us! Grandma Sally was a great sport and joined the girls on the floor but Gary and Zach decided the table was were they would eat.
December Book Reports
December's theme was fiction and with this Mommy being sick, working extra hours and planning way to many PTA and Young Women Christmas activities, I lacked in the Mommy department. Luckily for my girls and me we have Heather!!! Heather stayed home for work one day to watch kids (because I don't get paid time off and she does, isn't she awesome) and then she took the girls a day for a couple hours to make salt dough Christmas ornaments and to help Kabree get her book reports done!!! I'm so lucky to have a sister like her!!! Kabree read Frog and Toad and drew a new cover for the book and then read Snowmen At Night and made a salt dough snowman with Heather.
