Cookie Party

As always we hosted our annual cookie party!  We are so grateful to those who were able to come join us in getting into the holiday spirit!  We continually feel blessed to live close to family.  We love spending time with them, especially during the holidays!
Larin, Heather, Troy, Jessi and Shawn
 Heather and Grandma JoAnn

Heather was obsessed with having her picture taken with the decorations

Cookies, cookies, cookies
Grandpa Vance and Keagan enjoying the cookies
 Wyatt and Kabree
Katie still licking the jam out of the cookies!
When Katie was little she use to lick the jam out of my Raspberry shortbread cookies and leave the rest of the cookies, so you would see a pile of jamless cookies on the table.  Yes she has grown out of it (well at least she eats the rest of the cookie now) but I don't think we will ever let her live it down!!!
Wyatt (also a jam licker), Jessica and Mckenna
Sam and Kimberly
Keagan put on quite the show going crossed eyed for everyone!!!
 Santa did a run by!!!!!

He could only say hi and was hurrying off to check on a few other boys and girls in the neighborhood.  But he did leave a M&M candy cane for each of the kids!

Recently as you can see I have become obsessed with photo booth props, luckily for me my family is just as obsessed and think they are just as much fun as I do!!!!

The hardest part of a party......the good byes!!

We had such a fun night enjoying yummy food, the Christmas lights and even better company.  Our house might be on the small side (someday our basement will be finished ; ) but we always feel blessed when it's full of the ones we love!

My girls LOVE my cousins kids....there was lots of tears when we had to say good bye!
Mason riding the goat

The girls were so excited and fascinated by the goats!  Kabree decided to jump on one all by herself!  Well the goat; being a goat, lunged forward and took off dumping Kabree in the poop!  She hurried and jumped up and said "I'm not doing that again!"  After riding the goats the girls quickly realized it was time for good byes and were so sad, but their good byes were made a little easier by an invitation to visit the Cortas when the first good snow hits for a sleigh ride!!!!
It was a lot of fun to get together with cousins we don't often see, enjoy  yummy food and celebrate our amazing Grandpa!

Salt Lake City Take 2

    Temple Square
We headed to Salt Lake once again for some family time.  This time we went with Zach's family.  It was a crazy Friday with Kabree having school, Zach having work projects to finish up and Jessi doing nails all before we could leave but we made it.

The girls were fascinated by the model of the temple
A long day, crazy traffic, crappy parking, not meeting up with Zach's family...all worth it so we could do the one thing Kabree asked to do this weekend, see Christ!  In this busy world, in the excitement of the season, in the stress of work parties and family time I was near tears watching my beautiful girls stare in reverent awe at our Savior.  I was humbled as we stood in line to see the Christus and my heart bursting with pride as I watched Kabree patiently, never a complaint of the long line, waiting.  "Mom I can't wait to see Jesus again someday!  I can't wait for the second coming!"  This girl is always reminding me what truly matters in this life....my beautiful little family and our relationship with Christ.
Seriously not a great quality picture but a camera could never have captured the spiritual experience our family had, our girls at Christs feet asking if they could touch him and if he could hear them.  We have been blessed with many family spiritual moments and Kabree has had countless ones she has shared but how many can you take a picture of to remember : ).

Discovery Gateway Children's Museum
Saturday we slept in and enjoyed breakfast with everyone in the hotel, then we headed off to the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum.  WOW is all I can say about this place!!!  The kids had a blast!!!

We LOVED the Discovery Museum!  It was perfect for our girls!  We got there shortly after they opened so there wasn't that many people there either!  The girls loved all of it and could have stayed all day but favorite part was the huge ball area, they had tons of tubes and games to send the balls through.  (no pictures because Mommy and Daddy were having too much fun playing too)  They also loved the puppet show, and Kabree was sooo excited they picked her to come and help at the end of the play to be Baby Bell and play Jingle Bells.  We had such a great weekend with family and feel so blessed to live close enough to spend time with each other.  Thank you Grandpa Gary and Grandma Sally for the fun weekend, we loved it!
