Cheer Competitions

Rumble in the Jungle

We kicked off our Cheer Season in Jerome at Rumble in the Jungle.  The kids hit the ground running!  They gave 100% and came out with so much energy!  They made a full sweep, 1st in Show, Sideline and Pom!

Cupids

Cupids was a blast as usual!  Hadli Larsen joined us to see what cheer competitions were all about, she said she loved it ;).  Keagan and Zach had to make a quick slip out for Keagan's basketball game and made it back for Sideline and Pom. They did fantastic but came up a little short to Sugar Salem (ugh someday we will beat them ;) we took 2nd in Show, 2nd in Sideline and 2nd in Pom.

Riby Rally

This was our first time at the Rigby Rally and it was a pretty fun competition.  Kabree learned not to leave your phone laying around ;).  The girls did great but were a little frustrated with the outcome at this competition. 1st in Show, 1st in Pom, 2nd in Sideline (They took 2nd to Snake River our biggest rivalry).

Drill Competitions

 Battle at the Border

We kicked off the competition season with Battle at the Border in Preston.  Keagan joined me for the early, cold drive to Preston.  It turned out to be a great competition, the girls did awesome (We went against last years state winner and the team that won state the 5 years before that)!  They took 1st in Dance, 2nd in Hip Hop, and 3rd in Military and Pom.

Keagan's Science Fair

Keagan participated in her school science fair with her friends Hadli and Kambree. They made gummy bears and altered the amount of sugar they put in to see how it effected the taste and texture.  They discovered that more sugar made the gummy bears taste better but made them tougher (similar texture to an orbie in their words).

Happy New Year!

Our New Years Eve was like the rest of the Holiday have been, lots of yummy food, family and games! Wyatt came over and played games during the day.  Then we headed to Darrel and Laurie's for food and games.  We decided to do the party 6-10 and celebrate New Years on New York time this year :).  James, Haylee and Kab's even let off some fireworks.  After the party we headed home and ended our night watching the finale of Stranger Things and ringing in the Mountain Standard Time New Years ;).
