Vegas Day 2

For our 2nd day in Vegas we woke up and drove to Hoover Dam.  We wanted to get there early enough to do one of the first tours of the day to hopefully beat the heat.  But by 10 a.m. it was already well into the 100's!  The massiveness of the Dam is so incredible, let alone to think of that it was built in 1931-1936. A couple facts that we found interesting about the dam.  My whole life I had always been told people had died falling to their death, falling into the cement and their bodies were left in the cement so they were basically buried in the dam.  That's not true, a lot of people died but no ones body is in the dam.  They actually finished building the dam 2 years ahead of schedule!  It wasn't built to supply power but was built to help for flood control and irrigation.  It wasn't always called Hoover Dam but use to be called Boulder Canyon Dam.  Keagan thought it was quite the story to tell people we made her walk to Arizona while on our trip.

After Hoover Dam we went back to the Strip to explore some of the stores.

First up was the M&M and Coke stores.  The girls thought it was crazy that there was a whole store just for M&M's and Coke.  They were pretty impressed with the size of the stores and that they had 4 levels!  Let alone that fact of just how much stuff they have Coke and M&M themed.  At the Coke store we ordered the Coke around the world palter.  It was interesting lol some of them were awful and we could barely take a taste of them haha.

After the Coke and M&M stores we saw a NETFLIX store that had everything Stranger Things so we had to check it out!  The girls were pretty impressed with it!  I think that might have been their favorite thing of the whole trip!

We ended then went to the Hershey store before heading back to our hotel for dinner and bed!

Vegas Day 1

We left our house at 9 a.m. so we could make a couple last minute stops along the way to the airport and make sure we had plenty of time to make it through TSA.  Good thing we did because truth be told we only waited at our gate for about 20 minutes before boarding!  Once we made it to Vegas and got settled into our hotel we headed to our first activity we had planned, The Tournament of Kings. Zach and I were so excited for the girls to see it because it was one of our favorite things when we came in 2005.  We sat in the Dragon section which meant we cheered for the villain; the Dragan Night. Everyone loved the show and the food was great too!  It was such a fun way to start the trip off!
