Round Up

Kabree and Zach did round up and this was Kabrees first time doing it on a horse.  She was super nervous but Katie took her under her wing first thing so that helped ease her nerves.  She also got to ride Larin's horse Captain Jack.  She came back all smiles and said she had so much fun.  We are so grateful for Katie for making it such a good experience for Kabree!  Zach got to ride Foxy and he said she did great and he learned a lot!  Both felt like it was a great day!

Meet Hondo

Grandpa Vance got a new pony named Hondo and he is a cutie!  Keagan has loved riding him every chance she gets!  Both girls had to show their friends what a cutie he was ;)!

Happy Birthday Grandma JoAnn!

Poor Grandma always gets the short end of the stick (in true Mom fashion ;) having her birthday be right when school starts back up, harvest and fall sports but she has honestly never complained!  She was a great sport about letting us celebrate her on a Sunday so Heather and her kids could come out and we could do cake and ice cream!  Happy birthday Mom and thank you for all you do for all your crazy crew from drawing, sewing, writing poems, cooking meals, babysitting and driving kids places we would all be lost without you!

Class Is Back In Session

As always summer goes way to fast but here we are back in school!  Kabree in 8th, with Mr. Houghton as her homeroom teacher and Keagan is in 5th grade with Mrs. De Williams as her teacher.

Refresh

Before school started we were able to squeeze in at the VERY last second and get our hair done!  Kabree decided to get highlights for the first time and Keagan decided to dye her ends pink!

Anything But A Water Bottle!

Kabree's team did bring anything but a water bottle to practice.  She had me ask all the girls in the family for ideas and Wendy suggested a weed sprayer.  Kab loved the idea so Zach ran and grabbed one after work for us to wash up for her to use!

Hot Tortillas

At American Falls Days Keagan had a woman explain to her (in Spanish ;) how to make tortillas with a pottery set she (Keagan) was buying.  So the second we got home Keagan went to work. Let me clarify the woman never gave her measurements, just told her ingredients and told her how to use the tools!  Keagan however through pure determination tried multiple times and by the 4th time found a pretty darn good recipe (she made up herself).  Then after about a week she did ask if she could look one up online just to try which to see if she liked it better.  Needless to say we have been enjoying all the fresh tortillas around here!
