Happy Independence Day

We had a great Independence Day this year!  We celebrated on the 3rd because the 4th fell on a Sunday this year.  Ashley planned a kids parade at the church and the kids LOVED it!  They had so much fun decorating their bikes!  Ashley was the Grand Marshal and led the kids, while Grandma JoAnn played parade music while the kids walked and threw the candy!  We then visited for a bit while enjoying some candy and otter pops before the heat sent us home.

Kabree was pretty proud of her necklace she made

After the parade we grilled up some bratwurst and enjoyed an afternoon of some cornhole and volleyball.  We ended the evening meeting everyone at Shawn's for fireworks.  Keagan was so excited because Heather had got her a little goodie bag of her very own fireworks to set off so she was very excited lol!

We are so grateful for where we live and the freedoms we enjoy because of those that have sacrificed there lives and those that continue to make sacrifices for us everyday!

Who's Been Picking on Grandma?

Grandma JoAnn had a gum tissue graft.  It went well but she looked a bit rough for a bit, she even said she felt like a Who from Whoville it was so swollen for a few days! She was a super good trouper and didn't complain even though she as on a soft food diet for several weeks!

Girls Camp

Kabree got to go to her first Girls Camp!  She LOVED it!  She loved the camping, she loved the leaders and she loved the other girls!  I won't lie it was a little hard for this momma after all the years I've spent going to Girls Camp now that I finally have a girl of my own going...I'm not involved in Young Women's at all :(.  But Zach got to go and Kabree loved it and that is all that matters!
