Happy Birthday Keagan

I can't believe this firecracker is 6! Holy smokes was she excited, we're talking ecstatic, over the moon excited for the last week!! She was so excited she didn't got to bed until....well truthfully we don't know because we gave up fighting her and went to bed ourselves, but when I got up at 1 a.m. she was wide awake, sitting up in her bed!  Then she would come in about every 30 minutes to see if it was still too early to be up!  Finally at 6:45 she yelled "Mom, its 6,4,5 (that's how she tells time lol) I'm going to pretend to be asleep and I'm going to pretend to wake up and you are going to yell Happy Birthday Keagan, ok!" She ran/talked nonstop the entire day after that!!!
Keagan was very excited to see she got a unicorn fingerling and glasses from Kabree.  At Mother Goose she got a Birthday crown and got to take raspberry filled donuts to share with her friends.  She enjoyed a lunch of her favorite pizza lunchable and then tried facetiming or calling anyone who would answer. After Kabree got home we went to Grandma Jane's where she got her amazing unicorn cake and her present from Grandma Jane.....a unicorn head!!!  Keagan pretty much thought that was the best thing ever!  We then got a surprise visit from uncle Shawn who joined us for spaghetti and meatballs.   Heather and Justice dropped in to give the girls a gift and join us for cake!  Heather gave the girls their own containers of gummy candies and lunchables!!!
We sure love this spitfire and are so glad we got to celebrate her!  She definitely brings life to the party, keeps us on our toes and reminds us what it was like to be excited for things!  We love you Kiki!

Business Day

Kabree's 3rd grade class had a business day.  Each student was responsible for coming up with a business plan to either offer a product or a service.  Each student was also given $4(play money) to practice being a consumer as well.  Kabree was so excited the second she found out about it she wanted to start planning and working on it.  She decided she wanted to make stress balls.  She jumped right in and got to work.  She did great and worked so hard.  She made 50 stress balls but gave away 20, she was so excited anytime someone came over she had to give them one lol.
She was so excited that she SOLD OUT and won sales for her class!  She did decide part way into it to lower her price to $.50 each.  She made the most money coming in with $12.30 (don't ask how she got that amount because she isn't sure how that happened either lol).  She was pretty happy with her purchases as well, she got a rock necklace, slime, bookmark, a squishy toy and treats.
Kabree had so much fun with this whole experience, Keagan is already talking about when she hits the 3rd grade.

Happy Easter

Easter is usually my favorite holiday.  I love the season,  the hiding of eggs, family, the reason we celebrate it, everything!  This year was just off.  It was a very rough Easter and nothing went as planned or well for that matter but the girls had fun and that's all that really matters.  I'm still grateful and humbled for all that my Savior has done for me.

The girls woke up to see their baskets and find eggs.  They were excited to get jump ropes (lets hope this time goes better than last time) and mermaid snap bracelets.  We attempted to watch General Conference but within the first 5 minutes the girls broke the dresser drawer and Zach then spent the next hour fixing it while listening to conference.  Kabree also got hit/snapped in the eye with Keagans snap bracelet. We did enjoy our Easter meal of ham, funeral potatoes, rolls (Kabree made the rolls), salad and jell-o cake.   The second session went a little better and even through the chaos we did feel the spirit and learned from our leaders.

Ward Easter Party

Zach and Matt headed to Arbon to paintball in the morning (thanks Shay for the pictures).  Heather and I came out later just for the lunch and the egg hunt.  The girls loved seeing and playing with cousins and thought it was pretty great that Grandpa Vance let them shoot his paintball gun for a few minutes.

 The Golden Egg winners!!!

Dying Easter Eggs

We finally got around to dying Easter Eggs!  We decided to try the shaving cream tie dye method and it would have worked great if I would have followed the directions completely ;).  But even with our slight flop we still had fun and now we know for next year :).
