Finding The Perfect Tree

Justice, Kabree & Hanna

Heather and Zach deciding if it really was the perfect tree.

Zach and I invited Matt and Heather and their kiddos to come help us find the perfect Christmas tree.  The older kids didn't feel like coming so Matt stayed home with them and just Heather, Hanna and Justice joined us.  The kids loved it!  They were running around squealing everywhere!  They thought it was fun to try to squeeze in between trees and try to hide.  After finding the perfect tree, while Zach loaded the tree up Heather and I took the kids to check out the toy isles in Fred Meyer.  Holy cow, they touched and held every toy in the store.  It was a fun night and the kids had a blast!  I cannot wait for more holiday fun this year, Kabree's excitement is contagious!

Hooray It's Snowing!

I was in the kitchen when I hear the blinds smacking around and hear extreme excitement, laughing, giggling, abd cheering.  I hurried in to the living room to witness Kabree and Justice over the moon excited over it snowing outside.  They were cheering and laughing "hooray, it's snowing....it's snowing....look snow', and again tons of laughing and squealing.  It was so funny I had to smile and love the fact that such simple things bring such joy to 2 year olds.

We had a very Happy Thanksgiving this year!  We had a small group, it was nice, quite and laid back this year.  Dad & Mom, Shawn, Matt & Heather, Jerry & Laurie, and my Grandpa & Grandma Harrison is all there was this year.  It was so laid back that for the hour before dinner we all just sat in the living room visiting.  My Dad talked Grandpa into trying out a airplane game on the Wii, my Grandpa discovered he kind of liked playing "the dumb video game" : ).  The food was good of course and as always we headed out to shoot some clay pigeons after pie.  Kabree enjoyed watching but kept asking for a turn so finally we let her have a turn shooting, she felt like pretty big stuff and was very excited to pick up a shell for a souvenir.

The Things Little Miss Says

The other day we were saying bye to my aunt Laurie when Kabree smiles at Laurie and says "you kidder"

Kabree "Mom, can I watch a show?"
Mom "No, it's time for bed"
Kabree "Can I watch a show?"
Mom "No"
Kabree (in an irritated voice) "It's my right!,  It's my right! (in the sweetest voice ever)  Can I watch a show?"
Mom "No, it's time for bed let's go say our prayers"
5 minutes later while saying her prayers
"thank you for this day, keep us safe, please help us good dreams, watch a show..."

Kabree "My Grandpa workin, he drives a combine"
"My Dad workin, he drives a truck, he delivers milk."
"Grandma drives da bus"
"Uncle Darrel drives de semi"
Mom "Kabree you are so smart"
Kabree "Mom you don't work, you do nothin"
