We're Thinking Pink!

Most everyone already knows but for those who don't we got picked last week and it's a girl! It has been an emotional, crazy week but the excitement far out weighs the stress. We actually got to meet both our birthparents today and it went great. They are a cute cute couple who we already love so much. They were so amazing and unselfish, I could never express how grateful I am for them and their sacrifice. I was scared beyond belief for the face to face, but it went great and now I feel so much better about everything. Now I actually feel like this is our little girl! For those who know me already know what a long emotional journey this has been for me and words could never say how excited and how long I have waited for this day. No one laugh but I can seriously close my eyes and see her in my arms already. We are so happy and cannot wait to hold our little girl. Which we still have no due date for yet, she is having a c-section and they haven't scheduled it yet but it will be the end of this week or next.

I'm so happy we don't have to wait a long time for her to get here, we got approved 6 months ago and we just got contacted by our birthmother the 27th of March. So we really shouldn't complain at all. But I've found that all of my 8 pregnant friends feel is highly unfair I'm getting my baby first, and yes that includes my sis : ). I just have to say thank you to my family and close friends who have been my support the last couple years and have never judged me for my ups and downs with our infertiltiy and adoption. I guess I just have the best family ever and know how to pick great friends! Thanks guys!

Chrome in the Dome

This is Zach's dream car
69 Camaro

Jessica, Larin, Morgan, Makenna,
Kooper, Kattie & Mattie

Libby, Heather & Hanna

Libby, Katie & Kooper

Hanna's wink

Larin and Jessica asked Heather and I if we wanted to go to Chrome in the Dome with them Saturday, so after Zach got off worked we all meet up and went to check it out. Matt had to go somewhere with his Dad so it was just Heather and the girls that came. When we got there and were walking to the ticket place a guy walked over to Zach and handed him 4 tickets, so we only paid $5 for all of us to get in. My brother Larin loves stuff like this and was in heaven checking out all the cars. Of coarse Zach was right along side him. Us girls were just glad for an excuse to get out of the house.

The New Do

I've been really funny lately with my hair, in January I decided to cut it short (for me) and in an A-line, I told my friend I wanted it darker and shorter and that's what we ended up with. Well I discovered I hate A-line cuts, they are cute on others but defiantly not for me. So, I went in to my friend and told her get rid of the A-line and why not go back to my natural color. For those of you who have never really seen me with my natural hair color, it's a little bit of a shock! I'm still not sure what I think, about the shortness or the color. My husband hates that it's short but actually likes the dark. It's so funny because Heather said Libby asked her "Mom, why does Jessi keep trying to change her looks?" I guess my crazy hair is stressing her out : )!

Amazing Grace

Zach and I have recently been faced with many obstacles and tough decisions and have found ourselves being overwhelmed. My aunt sent me an e-mail with this attachment. I can't tell you what peace this song gives me. It has very sentimental value to my family and always soothes my soul to hear it, but for some reason this version with the background just makes it even more amazing. It was just what I needed today. So if you have a moment watch this video.

Zach's Deer

Zach has officially finished mounting his deer. He decided early this year that he wanted to learn taxidermy. He has really enjoyed it and they guy that's been teaching him said he's really good at it. So, I'm sure this is the first of many to come.

Caleb's New Pet

Look at his fluffy tail

Caleb showing off his new pet

The kids were so excited to pet it

Heather wanted to snuggle him
but he was to scared

Zach's brother Caleb got a chinchilla this weekend and brought it over to our house. Heather and her kids came over to see it too. It is a scared little guy but he is so cute and soft. Hanna kept calling it a little bunny : )!

Making Stuffed Animals

I've discovered that Daisy is fascinated with sewing

Heather took Libby to the fabric store about a week ago and Libby saw a book that had stuffed animals in it. Well Heather told Libby if she could find the pattern by herself then Heather would buy it for her. Sure enough Libby came back with the pattern. The kids didn't have school today so Heather called and asked if I would help Libby make her Monkey. I said I'd love to, how hard could it be with a pattern. Well let's just say it was an all day project and my fingers are a little red. This was Libbys first time using the sewing machine and she did great, it's my own fault I didn't get my fingers out of the way : ). She cut out and sewed the whole thing with very little help. I think she enjoyed it and loves the new stuffed friend. Hanna took one look at it and said "Lib, will you make me a horse" Libby of coarse beaming said "yea sure," so I guess we will be attempting a stuffed horse next week.
